Blyth Battery Volunteers

Blyth Battery Volunteers Blyth Battery is operated as a museum by Blyth Battery Volunteers Ltd. We are an enthusiastic group who maintain, conserve, research and open Blyth Battery to members of the public.

Volunteers also put on displays commemorating the history of Blyth Battery at events around the region throughout the year. We are always looking to welcome new members to our group. We have no minimum commitment, any help no matter how small would genuinely be appreciated. For those able to attend more regularly we have a small membership fee. In return for your time we will give you a Battery volunteer uniform, we have dances/social events throughout the year and have visits to other museums and heritage sites. We operate as a museum with tea shop, carry out maintenance of the battery buildings and exhibits, we also provide educational visits for schools. If you become a volunteer at Blyth Battery you'll be able to find a role, either with the public or behind the scenes in which ever you feel comfortable, for more information email bbv1916@hotmail.co.uk.
