Opening Times

Blyth Battery is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am - 4pm, with last orders in the tea room being 3.45pm.Guided Tours around all of the buildings are available, with tours taking approx 45 mins. They are free of charge but a donation is always welcome!The site is closed from October to March

Charges

Entrance to all of our buildings and displays is free of charge. The Battery is run on donations from members of the public, and the sale of refreshments in our tea room, so popping a few coins into one of our donations buckets will help us carry on preserving the buildings, adding to our displays and put on our annual re-enactment events


Group/School Visits 

 Blyth Battery welcomes group and school visits throughout the year, including during the week and through our closed season. Blyth Battery Volunteers are happy to arrange guided tours of the site and buildings, opportunities to handle wartime artefacts, talks/lectures for your group, and refreshments. Or why not let us bring the Battery to you with a talk or outreach session for your group or class. There is no charge but a donation is welcomed. Please get in touch to discuss your needs. LocationBlyth Battery is just off the A193 at South Beach, Blyth, between Blyth and Seaton Sluice. Follow the brown signs to the beach car park; when you reach the car park continue to the very far end and look for the grey and pink concrete buildings, behind Fort House Education Centre.
